Temple Trip to Tierra del Fuego

November 24, 2025 Ushuaia, Argentina — Buenos Aires, Argentina Administrator

A Journey of Eternal Significance

In November 2025, the Covenant Path Foundation organized an unforgettable trip from the Tierra del Fuego Stake to the Buenos Aires Argentina Temple. For many members living at the southernmost tip of the world, this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to participate in sacred temple ordinances and strengthen the bonds of their families forever.

The journey covered over 3,000 kilometers — by bus, ferry, and air — but the Spirit made every mile worthwhile. Members traveled together, studied the scriptures, shared meals, and bore testimonies that touched every heart.

Families Sealed for Eternity

The most sacred highlight of the trip was witnessing families being sealed in the temple. Parents and children knelt at the altar to receive eternal ordinances that bind them together beyond this life. Tears of joy filled the sealing rooms as families felt the power of God's promises fulfilled.

The temple is a holy, blessed, and beautiful place. Knowing that the Lord establishes His house ever closer to us fills my heart with deep gratitude. It is a gift to be able to go there to feel His love more intensely, to pray with faith for what I need in this life, and to renew my spirit. Having a temple nearby not only brings us closer to God, but also allows goodness to flourish within each of us. There we learn, heal, and strengthen our relationship with Him. It is a living manifestation of the love that God constantly pours out upon His children.

— Heber Frau, President of the Tierra del Fuego Stake

Fellowship and Spiritual Growth

Beyond the temple, the trip provided rich opportunities for fellowship. Members from remote branches who had never met came together, discovering that they were part of something much larger than their local congregations. Home evening devotionals at the hostel, morning scripture study, and shared meals became cherished memories.

President Frau delivered an inspiring devotional on covenant keeping that deeply moved everyone present. Youth and adults alike shared powerful testimonies that reinforced their commitment to walk the covenant path.

Youth Engagement

The youth who participated grew immensely during the trip. Many performed baptisms for the dead for the first time. Their excitement and reverence was an inspiration to all. Following the baptism sessions, youth gathered to share what they had felt — and the Spirit was undeniable.

I wanted to share my testimony that this trip is very special for all of us from Tierra del Fuego, because we are very far from the temple. This opportunity to come here meant a lot to me, since we cannot come all the time. I liked it because I was able to feel the Spirit strongly, be with friends from Ushuaia or Rio Grande whom I hadn't seen in a long time, and I was able to receive an answer to a question I had.

Looking Ahead

This temple trip is the first of many that the Covenant Path Foundation plans to coordinate. We believe that every member, regardless of distance or financial circumstance, deserves the opportunity to attend the house of the Lord. Your donations make trips like this possible.
