Answering the Call to Serve
For many young Latter-day Saints in Nigeria, the desire to serve a full-time mission burns brightly — but the financial barriers can seem insurmountable. The Covenant Path Foundation's Mission Start-Up Support program is changing that reality, one missionary at a time.
In early 2026, we provided direct support to prospective missionaries in Nigeria who had received their mission calls but lacked the resources to prepare. From purchasing appropriate clothing and shoes to covering travel expenses to the Missionary Training Center, the Foundation ensured that nothing stood between these young men and women and their calls to serve.
What Your Donations Provide
- Missionary essentials: clothing, shoes, luggage, and personal supplies
- Travel support: transportation to the MTC and mission field
- Preparation materials: scriptures, study guides, and language resources
- Emotional support: mentoring and encouragement from returned missionaries
Testimonies of Gratitude
I want to express my gratitude to the Covenant Path Foundation for how they helped me. It's something that I feel really overwhelmed about because they helped me throughout all the processes that I had to go through, and I know fully well that if it had been me and my family, it wouldn't have been an easy journey.
These missionaries carry the gospel to people across West Africa and beyond. Their service is planting seeds of faith that will bear fruit for generations. By supporting their preparation, we are investing in the future of the Church in Africa.
A Growing Need
The Church is expanding rapidly in Nigeria and throughout West Africa. More young people than ever are receiving mission calls, and the need for start-up support continues to grow. Every contribution — no matter the size — helps a future missionary take their first steps into full-time service.
We are deeply grateful for the generosity of donors who make this program possible. Together, we are walking the covenant path and helping others do the same.
